We purchased Philippe in Fall 2003 from Jerry & Kat Drovdahl of Fir Meadow in Twisp, WA. I had been admiring
the Tempo LaManchas for a few years, specifically Katya and Notta. When I found out that Philippe was for sale, off
we went to Washington state (nearly to Canada)!
Philippe is a very showy and sweet buck. He has a beautiful head, sharp, uphill front-end, and a wide, level rump.
He is very correct and is level over the top. Philippe earned Jr. RGCH at the 2002 Dist. 7 LaMancha Buck Specialty.
His daughter was BJDIS over 90 doelings! His daughter, Lucia, in our herd, is very competitive and places at the top
of her class, winning Dist VIII (Madera) RGCH with two 1st udders in class to her credit this year, as well. We
are very happy with the consistency of type and the quality we are seeing in his get. He puts a real nice set to the
hindlegs on his offspring. Progeny have all been good-sized with excellent length of body.
Philippe improves milk production and overall area of attachment and height to the rear udder. Two-year-old daughter,
Lucia, will make 3000 lbs. this year. Yearling daughter, Halley, easily earned her star.
He was worth the trip! Thank you, Kat for letting us bring him home.
Semen available 5/$125.

DAM: SGCH PURPLE-SAGE-FARM CLARICE 1*M (+*B SG ALTRECE SIR LANCELOT

This buck and his brother, Victor, are a result of one of the first two succesful AI's
I've had, so I'm just a little proud of him. The photo above is not very good, we'll try again in the Spring to get
a better pic. Vision is a large, sharp, extremely dairy young buckling. His sire is well-known in the LaMancha
world, having sired some very beautiful does in the Altrece herd. White Knight is full brother to Winterwood's The Medicine
Man, sire of the infamous Winterwood's Mac Tumble Weed.
Vision's dam, Clarice, is a White Knight grand-daughter; a beautiful & productive doe,
who was chosen BOB as a 9-year old at the very competitive Watsonville show her in CA last year.
I expect Vision to impart size & stature, dairy character, and lots of milk production
to his progeny. We are excited to see his first get this Spring.

Thanks to Scott Bice of Redwood Hills Dairy for selling us this beautiful guy! I went to Redwood Hills looking
at does from which I would like to buy a buckling. I was specifically looking for a doe with correct front leg set,
nice feet, and a chest out in front where it should be. Walking to the barn I noticed a white doe that I liked the look
of. Inside the barn I was able to look at her more closely, and saw that she was a wide, powerful doe standing on correct
feet and legs, and lots of rear udder attachment, as well. Lots of body capacity, too. I discovered she was
bred to Daredevil, and I knew I'd found what I was looking for.
Sadly, Luna died shortly after kidding triplets. The milk star I'd hoped she'd earn at Redwood Hills was not to
be, nor a new appraisal score. Previous to Scott owning Luna, she had two appraisal scores and two short lactations.
Pictured below is Rover's dam, Luna and her daughter, Annie Oakley. Annie won Supreme Udder at the 2005 CA
State Fair Youth Div., & Luna won Res. Supreme Udder. Annie also won Res. Supreme Champion & Supreme Udder at
the 2004 CA State Fair Youth Div.. The GCH lineup shown at the 2005 CA State Fair Youth Division is Luna, followed
by daughter, Annie Oakley, an unrelated doe owned by the same breeder, and yearling, Twinkie, a Luna grand-daughter.
Impressive!!
Rover is just what I'd hoped for and more! He is level over the topline with a wide rump, and continues to deepen
and grow; in fact, as a 2-year old, he is quite large! He has a sweet, happy personality. The color was an added
and unexpected bonus. Rover was quite stingy with does in '08, but we have three very nice doelings here from him
this year; Lassie, Marley, and Fi-Fi :0) Rover kids are showing lots of strength, width and bone, along with levelness
over the topline and open-ribbing. We look forward to seeing these three daughters freshen in '10!

Merlin is the result of the breeding of two Spotlight Sale animals by Elkhorn - Jeanne Koploy DVM, and we're hoping it'll
be magic. He is related to our herd through both his sire and dam. Merlin is very good in feet and legs
and level over the topline. His progeny have good general appearance, length, and smoothness of blending.
Daughters are freshening with productive mammaries with very good texture. Priscilla, as a yearling milker,
scored E in udder texture and V in mammary. As a 3-year old, she milked 12.6 & 11.9 on her two highest tests.
Yearling daughter, Miranda, milked 7.8 lbs. her first test. Both daughters have well attached mammaries with excellent
teat placement, and milk out well.
